Just wondering if anyone is using Tamoxifam for the prevention of tumors in either Breast or Ovarian cancer?

Kylie, did you hear from anyone about these drugs?  I'm also keen to hear from anyone who knows about drugs for prevention.  We're in the process of investigating Tamoxifen & another drug Anastrazole (which also goes by name of Arimidex) used in the IBIS trial.  We've been told that for the high risk patients the trial results show a 38% reduction in risk but that at this stage it isn't known if this is specifically related to BRCA patients.  I understand that Tamoxifen can be used pre & post menopause, that it can increase blood clots and cause problems with eyes.  I understand that Anastrazole can only be used by post menopausal women, that side effects include a reduction in bone health and possibly menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes.  Can anyone offer any more advice?
