Topic: info on Lymphoedema of the bust

I feel honoured to be the first to post a message on this great site .Come on ladies  we need to Use It or we will Loose It

I was 62 and had  a partial mastectomy early 2008  all has gone well till this year and my bust has been major painful    after tests  it has been diagnosed as Lymphodema in the BUST  rather unusul I have been told

Massage 3 times a week and an insert in my Bra of fabric which is very much like bubble wrap  is how my teratment has gone  with a  success   but I am still very uncomfortable

Has anyone else out there  had any treatment for the same problem and what success have you had
I look forward to read any info that could be helpful

Hi Betty - I hope you're still checking here - but that your Lymphoedema has settled down and you're no longer needing the info.
I had a bit of lymphoedema of the bust after my implants were infected and removed. I went to see a massage therapist called Mary Thomson (352 8866)who specialises in this, you've probably found her already, but just in case, phone number is here.   . Mine sorted itself out in time, but it wasn't that bad in the first place. Hope yours is on the improve!
